Skulls, skulls, and more skulls!

Hey, those skulls are in the shape of a heart! Does that mean that love really survives death? Hmmmm

Mike at the top of the Notre Dam (if you look really closely you can see the Eiffel Tower waaaay back halfway between Mike and the gargoyle) Mike looks like he just saw the Hunchback...

Notre Dam's Steeple
As if it were a personal show, the church bells rang as soon as they reached the parapet. Remember the bell tower is RIGHT THERE. It's a wonder they don't have tinninitus after that! It was indeed a very special moment. |

Brancusi's Kiss
We wandered around the Montparnarse Cemetary all afternoon in search of Jim Morrison's grave...only to discover that Jim was buried in the Pierre LaChaise Cemetary at the other end of town. Ah! Good planning! But they did stumble upon this headstone, complements of Romanian sculptor Brancusi. What an odd place for one of his versions of The Kiss! |
